Tamarind and Sweet Soy Burger

 


This is an Asian inspired burger with the flavors of tamarind and Kecap Manis. The burger is topped with an Asian Slaw and Roasted Curry Mayo.

Ingredients Quantities Instructions
mayonnaise 1/2 cup 1. Mix mayonnaise and curry powder. Set aside.

2. Mix the beef with the sweet soy, tamarind and Asian Rub. Form 4, 4oz burger patties. Grill over medium flame for five to six minutes or to desired temperature.

3. Place slaw mix , julienned peppers, cilantro and red onion in a mixing bowl. Dress the slaw with the rice wine vinegar and sesame oil and toss.

4. Spread 2 tablespoons curry mayonnaise on each bun and place patty on top. Top the burger with coleslaw and serve.

Roasted Curry Powder 1 1/2 teaspoons
ground beef, 20% fat 1 pounds
kecap manis 1 tablespoons
tamarind paste 2 teaspoons
Lawrys Asian Ginger Garlic and Chile Rub 2 teaspoons
curry mayonnaise 1/2 cup
hamburger buns 4 eaches
coleslaw mix 1 cup
red peppers, julienned 1/2 cup
cilantro, chopped 1 tablespoons
red onion, julienned 1/4 cup
sesame oil 1 teaspoons
rice wine vinegar 2 teaspoons
