Spicy Honey Butter

The “hot honey” trend has officially made it to the world of butter! Here, the fat of olive oil and butter coat the palate together to deliver the smooth, flavorful heat of Cholula® Original Hot Sauce, balanced by a kiss of sweetness from honey. Tempting enough to sample by the spoonful, this butter is best enjoyed spread onto warm cornbread or melted over steamed veggies.

Procedure

1. Heat olive oil in small skillet on medium heat. Add crushed red pepper, toasting just until fragrant. Remove from heat. Cool completely.
2. Beat butter with electric mixer until smooth. Add red pepper-infused oil; mix until well blended. Add Hot Sauce, honey and garlic powder. Mix until well blended and smooth.
3. Hold at room temperature for service, refrigerate up to 1 week or freeze up to 1 month.
