Bahian Seasoning Blend

This easy, all-purpose seasoning blend from the Brazilian state of Bahia is known as tempero baiano in Brazilian Portuguese.

Ingredients

Serves 2 Tbsp
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp McCormick Culinary ® Cumin Seed
1 tsp McCormick Culinary ® Oregano Leaves, Mexican Style
1 tsp McCormick Culinary ® Parsley Flakes
1 tsp McCormick Culinary ® Turmeric, Ground
1/2 tsp McCormick Culinary ® Coriander Seed
1/2 tsp McCormick Culinary ® Black Pepper, Whole
1/2 tsp McCormick Culinary ® Cayenne Pepper, Ground

Procedure

In a spice grinder combine salt, cumin, oregano, parsley, turmeric, coriander, black peppercorns, and cayenne pepper. Process until fully ground. Store in an airtight container.
