A steakhouse butter rich with the flavors of barbecue, caramelized onions and real bourbon.
Ingredients
Serves 2 pounds
- 1/4 cup Butter, unsalted
- 1 1/2 cups Onions, 1/4" dice
- 1 pound Butter, unsalted, softened
- 3/4 cup Cattlemens ® Kentucky Bourbon BBQ Sauce
- 1/4 cup Peppadews, 1/4" dice
- 1 tbsp Cattlemens Smokehouse Rub
Procedure
- In a heavy bottom sauté pan melt first amount of butter. Add onions and caramelize. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl combine onions, softened butter, BBQ Sauce, peppadews and Smokehouse Rub. Whisk well to combine.
- Hold refrigerated, serve at an appropriate temperature for use.
Chef's Tip!
This compound butter can be wrapped in parchment, formed into a long, and sliced to use on steaks, chops, and burgers or piped as desired and used with bread service.
