Procedure
- In a saute pan on medium-low heat, cook bacon until fat has rendered and bacon is crisp. Remove from pan, leaving fat in pan. Reserve bacon.
- Add onions to bacon fat and cook until caramelized. Remove from heat.
- Transfer onions to bowl and whisk in ketchup, smoked paprika, and crisped bacon. Hold refrigerated for service.
